Desert Campout is an intimate weekend gathering under the stars in Desert Hot Springs, at an organic date farm with 26 mineral water hot tubs and pools!
Our incredible location is bubbling with magic, beautiful healthy date palm trees, and amenities you will enjoy including real water closets and a private shower. We have twelve (12) private glamping tents sleeping a total of three (3) persons per tent with real mattresses and bed frames, outfitted with air conditioning units and semi-private hot tubs and pools with fresh natural Desert Hot Springs mineral water. Other options including car camping, RV parking (no hook-ups) and an off-site four bedroom home just minutes from the venue boasting a private, gigantic hot springs pool and hot tub in the fenced back yard (sleeps 8).
Let’s talk food! We are offering a weekend meal pass, for two American-style breakfasts, two snacks, one date shake, and two dinners from The Food Network’s “Iron Chef” contestant and world renowned chef Myung Lee, who will make an incredible dinner menu with a choice of grilled steak and shrimp or a vegetarian bento box or stir fry. Add the meal plan to our daily on-going catering options available for purchase on an à la carte menu (offering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals) throughout the day. Expect curries, ribs, pizza, salads, tacos, date shakes, coffees and more. Top it off with a sweet treat as we roast marshmallows by the pool during our mellow and soothing acoustic night performance.
Our schedule will be a special selection of music, yoga, roundtable discussions, and international performers woven together for everyone to have a bit of diversity and flavor, experiencing various genres throughout the weekend. We are purposefully making sure that the programming is carefully curated to allow us to participate TOGETHER with our new campout community as much as possible; the way it felt at summer camp when we were kids! Of course, there are plenty of outdoor spaces, pergolas, and tables and chairs hidden under the palm leaves to find solitude and peace throughout the property if you want alone time, too.
When we gather on special lands at community events, we cultivate a new awareness for ourselves, those around us, and also our planet. Desert Campout invites you to experience the closeness and intimacy of a weekend campout at a lovely organic date farm and hot spring haven on September 20-22, 2024.
Due to the nature of this private event and location, registration will be limited, and after we are booked, you will placed be on a wait-list to attend. Desert Campout is produced by a 501(c)3 non-profit Leaders Causing Leaders, in association with Flixcity Mgmt Inc. We are fund-raising for the Mojave Desert Land Trust (mdtl.org) and the Surfrider Foundation (surfriderfoundation.org), to help protect our desert lands and keep our oceans clean.
